2025 FRASER RIVER GOLD PANNING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Events are held on the shores of the Fraser River at the picturesque Tuckkwiowhum Campground in beautiful Boston Bar, BC. For campground information and reservations, contact (a different) Dan at 604-867-9089.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a cash only event, including all entry fees and concession items. We will not be able to process debit or credit cards.



COMPETITION FEES

All adult/professional competitions (including teen and child entrants): $20

Children/Teen competitions: $10 for teens (13+), $5 for children (12 and under)

Mini-Miners (7 and under): all competitions are FREE

Friday July 11th - Free gold panning on the Fraser River in the town of Yale from 2 pm - 5 pm. Panning equipment will be provided.

Saturday July 12th

10 am - FREE events: Mini Miners, Childrens and Teens
10:30 am - Children
11 am - Mini Miners and Teens
11:30 am - Adults: Heat One
12 pm - FREE events: Mini Miners, Childrens and Teens
12:15 pm - Professionals
12:30pm - LUNCH

2:30 pm - Teens & Children
3 pm - Blindfold
3:30 pm - Hand in Hand

FRGPC RULES

  1. NO rules for Mini-Miners.
  2. When a panner says "gold", time is stopped.
  3. Panners that lose one gold flake are assessed a 3 minute penalty.
  4. Lid must be put on the vial before saying "gold". If the panner says gold and the vial lid is not on, a one minute penalty will be assessed.
  5. ONLY the Panner can be present when handing the pan to the judge and while watching the judge count the gold.
